CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. - The State Attorney's Office is seeking the death penalty against Ryan Cole, the man accused of killing Port Charlotte teen Khyler Edman.
A Charlotte County grand jury indicted Cole for first degree murder, first degree burglary with battery, and burglary of a dwelling in December.
Cole, 28, is accused of murdering the 15-year-old boy during a burglary at the teen's Port Charlotte home, according to investigators. During the burglary, detectives believe Cole stabbed the young teen to death, while the teen was protecting his sister.
