High school football game to honor teen killed protecting sibling during burglary

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla – Under Friday night lights, people from all over Southwest Florida came together at Charlotte High School to honor a Port Charlotte teen killed while protecting his little sister.
Attendees at Friday’s football game against Port Charlotte High School wore white in remembrance of Khyler Edman. The 15-year-old was killed during a home invasion that happened in September.
After a moment of silence, students released doves for Edman.
